        Clothing Hut

Above photos:  When people are in need of a  shower, many also require clean clothing.  This part of the Ministry requires much effort in the hours required to sort clothing and to keep the racks and shelves stocked. (Note:  we need men's denim pants, and shoes--all sizes.)  Thank you, Tina, for managing the clothing. --Pastor Linda

Improvements

Isaiah 58 Project each year prays about the best works which would help us more effectively to help the homeless and the hungry.   Last year we had a new building donated that, with a lot of hard work, has becoming a climate-controlled food bank--as well as a repair shop, of sorts.

Another main goal, a new shower house, is open.

Our Unique Ministry

God's Lighthouse In the Desert

Isaiah 58 Project earned its nickname from all of the people, needy or not, who have been attracted to our church, which is filled with God's Love and with the Holy Spirit.

This ministry cannot be conveyed with only a few paragraphs and pictures.  The most important aspect is that Pastor Mike Hobby was true to his vision of years ago.  Leaving Washington State in 1987 and coming to Quartzsite, Arizona, Mike and Linda Hobby began feeding people from an old Greyhound bus converted to a soup kitchen. Isaiah 58 Project grew miraculously through several nearly impossible stages.

God provided money, resources, and more volunteers so that the Project was able to begin serving in the Fellowship Hall of a local church.  Within 3 years the Isaiah 58 Project out-grew their location and were being forced to move; but to where?

Pastor Mike received a phone call for a meeting:  he was offered the perfect location if he could just come up with the back taxes of $68,000.  God opened hearts, and within one week he miraculously had the needed sum.  The current property became Church of the Isaiah 58 Project of Arizona in 2006.

Taking 3 years just to begin work in the kitchen of the main building--that for ages had been used to store an incredible variety of junk stacked to the ceiling--we are now able to offer the following services:
